History
Our history starts with RM Hybrid Technologies, LLC manager Rich Heisler. All his life, Rich has been a car guy. After relocating to Kansas, Rich was in awe of the incredible, ceaseless force of the wind. The question that came out of this fascination was how to utilize this power in an automotive application. Unfortunately, the only electric cars at that time were golf carts.
Rich's excitement was ignited when he served in the U.S. Air Force. While there, he studied aerodynamic jet engine propulsion, as well as power generation with hydraulic and pneumatic systems. A natural progression began to take place as he began to combine his knowledge of windmills, jet engines and automobiles. This new understanding helped him to envision not just a golf cart on the course but an electric car powered by the wind.
